Cardiac Ultrasound
Just as an obstetrical ultrasound allows you to see the future baby, a cardiac ultrasound
allows you to see your heart moving via ultrasound. This test is painless and harmless.
It provides visualization of the cardiac morphology, measures the dimensions of the
heart, observes and measures its contraction, visualizes the heart valves which open and
close with each beat.
Thanks to Doppler combined with ultrasound, we can visualize
the blood flows inside the heart chambers and measure pressures. It is a tool that has
become essential for many cardiological diagnoses.
