The stress test or stress electrocardiogram is an ECG recorded during an effort. At the
clinic, this effort is produced on an ergocycle (bicycle).
The test must be
progressively maximal over 5 to 10 minutes: the difficulty of pedaling is therefore
gradually increased and the test generally stops when you can no longer pedal! The
cardiologist remains next to you at all times to monitor your exercise tolerance as well
as the tracing.
