The consultation is the key moment in your treatment. It is a moment of listening and
reflection, necessary for building a true relationship of trust between doctor and
patient. Too often this step is neglected in favor of numerous technical tests, the
results of which cannot be interpreted without the clinical context. The tests are
nothing more than a diagnostic tool, but do not replace the consultation.
During
the consultation, the doctors collect the reason for your visit, your history,
cardiovascular risk factors and treatments, your symptoms and the history of your
disease (if there is any disease). The doctor examines the patient and carries out an
electrocardiogram if needed, studies the patient’s various examination reports and, most
importantly, concludes on a diagnosis and a treatment plan and prescribes any tests
needed.
It is necessary - especially for a first consultation - to bring your documents medical documents, prescriptions and recent tests.
